LK Energy Group (Odesa) builds turnkey 0.4–35 kV transformer substations — from a 10/0.4 kV KTP (package transformer substation) for a business to 35 kV substations. A full cycle under one roof: design, equipment manufacturing at our own plant, installation, high-voltage testing and handover to the grid operator (Ukrenergo / regional grid company). For the customer this means a single contract and a single point of responsibility instead of several contractors, a single warranty for the whole facility, and key equipment — KTPs, switchgear, panels — that doesn't wait on deliveries from third parties, because it is manufactured at our own production site. How We Build a Substation: Stages of Work

Substation Design

At the first stage we develop detailed design documentation. It includes load calculation, equipment selection, site layout and coordination with the grid. All designs are prepared in line with the requirements of local energy inspection authorities to avoid delays during grid connection.

Site Preparation

Before installation work begins, the site is prepared: clearing, grading, and construction of temporary access roads. This approach speeds up every stage of building the transformer substation and increases the overall efficiency of the work.

Installation of Grounding Systems and Laying of Underground Utilities

We install protective grounding systems and lay all the necessary underground utilities. This work is carried out in accordance with electrical safety standards and technical regulations.

Construction of Foundations with Cable Channels

Foundations with built-in cable channels are constructed for installing the substation equipment. This ensures ease of maintenance and durability of the structure. Foundations are designed taking into account equipment loads and climatic operating conditions.

Cable Route Installation

Our company lays power and control cables both inside the facility and between external networks. Only certified materials suited to the operating conditions are used. We apply modern laying technologies, including trenchless methods and cable tray systems, which increases the speed and quality of the work. All routes are designed with future maintenance and grid expansion in mind.

Equipment Manufacturing and Supply

Electrical equipment is manufactured at our company's own production facilities. We supply:

• package transformer substations (KTP),
• switchgear (KSO / KRU cabinet-type and withdrawable switchgear),
• relay protection cabinets,
• automatic transfer switch (ATS) devices.

All equipment meets the applicable standards and is manufactured for the specific project.

Installation of Power Equipment and Transformers

Qualified specialists install all substation components: transformers, switchgear cubicles, busbars, relay protection and automation systems. Work is carried out in accordance with the design documentation and electrical safety standards. We use modern lifting equipment and tools, which ensures installation accuracy and high work speed. All installation stages are supervised by power engineers to guarantee compliance with operating requirements.

High-Voltage Testing and Commissioning

Once construction of the substation is complete, high-voltage testing and commissioning work is carried out. This verifies the equipment's performance and the substation's readiness for operation. Test reports are prepared based on the results and handed over to the customer.
