35 kV Switchgear (KRU)

General information

KRU-E-35 (Ukr. КРУ-Е-35) switchgear is a solution for the 35 kV voltage class, for receiving and distributing three-phase alternating current electric power at a frequency of 50 Hz in networks with an isolated neutral or a neutral grounded through an arc-suppression reactor. It is used in RU-35 kV (Ukr. РУ-35 кВ) switchgear as part of KTPB (Ukr. КТПБ) 110/35/6(10) kV substations and in standalone ZRU-35 kV (Ukr. ЗРУ-35 кВ) installations; each cubicle carries the equipment of one connection to the busbars.

LK Energy Group (a switchgear equipment manufacturer, Odesa; company since 2005, own factory since 2015) developed the KRU-E-35 design and has experience in the installation and commissioning of 35 kV switchgear at various facilities. Each cubicle is manufactured to order according to the facility's technical specification and single-line diagram; this class is not produced serially. Switching is vacuum only: the cubicle is fitted with a vacuum circuit breaker (type per project). SF6 gas insulation is not used.

The cubicle is a metal frame-and-panel assembly made of steel sheet, powder-coated. Design options: indoor installation in a permanent building, or outdoor installation in a modular insulated block with heating, ventilation, and fire and security alarm systems. Specific equipment and parameters are agreed upon according to the facility's technical specification.

Description and Purpose

KRU-E-35 is a complete switchgear unit (KRU) for a voltage of 35 kV (maximum operating voltage 40.5 kV) with vacuum circuit breakers, for receiving and distributing electricity in networks with an isolated neutral or one grounded through an arc-suppression reactor. It is designed for enclosed 35 kV switchgear (ZRU-35 kV) and as part of KTPB 110/35/6(10) kV package substations. LK Energy Group (a switchgear manufacturer based in Odesa, in business since 2005, with its own factory since 2015) developed this 35 kV series and has hands-on experience installing it; it is not mass-produced — each unit is built for a specific project to your technical specification. The manufacturer's advantage: in-house design documentation, production in Odesa, and engineering support from the design stage through commissioning.

Do you manufacture 35 kV switchgear as a standard product line?
Not as a standard, mass-produced line. Our engineers developed the KRU-E-35 series, and we have hands-on experience installing 35 kV equipment on-site. Each unit is built for a specific project to your technical specification (main circuit diagrams, ratings, cubicle configuration). This is standard practice for the 35 kV class, where off-the-shelf, mass-produced solutions are rare.
What insulation type does LK Energy use — vacuum or SF6 (gas-insulated)?
Vacuum only. KRU-E-35 cubicles are fitted with vacuum circuit breakers (type selected per project). We do not manufacture or offer SF6 (gas-insulated) equipment.
What are the main parameters of the KRU-E-35?
Rated voltage 35 kV, frequency 50 Hz, vacuum switching. Rated currents, short-circuit currents (rated current, breaking current, dynamic and thermal withstand), ingress protection rating and climatic design are determined per project to your technical specification — we do not fix standard mass-produced ratings for this class.
How do I order a KRU-E-35 for my site?
