Manufacturing of Electrical Switchgear Equipment: Our Own Factory in Odesa
Electrical switchgear in Odesa is built by LK Energy at its own factory, running since 2015, with a full cycle in one place: design bureau, metalworking, assembly and a certified electrical testing laboratory. We make standard products and custom panels for 0.4–35 kV. Typical lead time is 2 weeks to 2 months.
What We Manufacture
- 0.4–0.8 kV — currents up to 6300 A
- ShchO-90 distribution panel boards; VRP input-distribution devices; automatic transfer switch (ATS) cabinets; UKM reactive power compensation units; metering-distribution panels; dispatching panels; DC and AC panels; instrumentation and control (I&C) cabinets; overall substation control panels and relay protection cabinets for 6–110 kV switchgear.

- KSO single-side maintenance-access switchgear cell cabinets for indoor installation; KRUN outdoor complete switchgear units; KRU-35 for enclosed premises; B35 outdoor switchgear blocks.
- Enclosure Options
- cold-rolled galvanized steel with 275 g/m² zinc coating, stainless steel, or mild steel with oven-cured powder coating; combined finishes are also available.
How a Switchboard Is Born: Four Steps
- Design. Our design bureau develops drawings based on your technical specification and single-line diagram — in compliance with current DSTU (Ukrainian national standards) / IEC norms.
- Metalworking. We make the enclosures ourselves: guillotine cutting, CNC punch press, bending, forming, welding, painting.
- Assembly. Installation of equipment, busbars, and power and secondary circuit wiring per the design, with labeling of all components.
- Testing. Every product undergoes quality control inspection and testing in our own certified electrical laboratory — test reports are handed over to the customer together with the product.
Custom Switchboard Assembly
Custom switchboard assembly is a separate service of the plant. We assemble a switchboard to your single-line diagram and bill of materials; if there is no diagram, fill in the questionnaire and we will propose a solution for your task. The assembly then runs on our own shop floor in Odesa, through the same cycle as our standard products.

- КСО single-side service cell cabinets, КРУ-35 for indoor installation and Б35 blocks for outdoor switchgear — currents up to 3150 A; built on the same line, with the testing required for 6–35 kV equipment.
- Metering and Compensation
- metering and distribution boards, reactive power compensation units (УКМ), DC and AC panels.
Customer-Supplied or Our Components
Both ways work. If the components have already been purchased, we assemble from them: we accept the delivery, check it against the diagram and tell you if ratings or dimensions do not match. In such an assembly the plant warranty covers the assembly work and the metalwork, while the components themselves carry the warranty terms of their own manufacturers. If there are no components yet, we source them ourselves and agree the manufacturer and ratings before assembly starts — it is the components used that determine both the enclosure size and the price of the order.
How the Work Is Accepted
Every assembled switchboard passes quality control and testing in our own certified electrical laboratory. You receive the test reports, the product datasheet and circuit marking per the design. The warranty on equipment of our own manufacture is 2 years, and in individual cases up to 5 years by agreement; on the cabinet metalwork — 10 years, provided the transport, storage and operating conditions from the product datasheet are observed; purchased components carry the warranty terms of their own manufacturers.
What to Send for a Quotation
For a quotation we need a single-line diagram or a completed questionnaire; a list of already purchased components, if any; installation conditions — indoors or outdoors and the temperature range; dimensional limits and the required enclosure protection rating. Assembly lead time is determined from the technical specification: it depends on the number of cabinets, the extent of secondary wiring and component availability. Send us the diagram or the questionnaire and we will come back with the lead time and a preliminary bill of materials.
Lead Times and Warranty
Typical manufacturing time is from 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on complexity and configuration; the schedule is agreed at the outset. The warranty on the cabinet's metal structure is 10 years, subject to compliance with the transportation, storage, and operating conditions specified in the product's datasheet; component parts are covered by their manufacturers' warranty terms. If needed, we also perform on-site installation and provide equipment maintenance.
