General information
Terminal boxes are designed for connecting and branching the cores of control cables with a cross-section from 0,5 mm² to 4 mm² in electrical circuits with a voltage of up to 600 V.
Connection type — screw terminals. Cables are introduced openly, without pipes (flexible metal conduits), through cable glands installed on the bottom, top or side of the box.
Note. If necessary, the consumer additionally agrees with the manufacturer on the types of cable glands, based on the method of installing the electrical wiring.
Design options:
- climatic design U, placement category 2 per GOST 15150;
- climatic design UKhL, placement category 3 per GOST 15150;
- climatic design T, placement category 3 per GOST 15150;
- protection rating IP54 per DSTU EN 60529:2018.
Terminal boxes comply with TU U 27.1-40132794-003:2016.

Description and Purpose
Terminal boxes (TB) are metal enclosures for connecting and branching control cable conductors in control, signaling and automation circuits rated up to 600 V (voltage class 0.4 kV). Connection type — screw terminals; conductor cross-section — 0.5–4 mm², protection rating IP54. The enclosure is made of galvanized or stainless steel, giving it resistance to impact and vibration. They are often used as a switching node in the control circuits of high-voltage equipment and at outdoor switchgear (VRP) — hence the common confusion about voltage class (the enclosure itself is low-voltage).
