Typical solution for a four-transformer substation: KRPZ-4x630 — a factory-built series from LK Energy in which two dual-transformer KTPs (package transformer substations) 6/0.4 kV are assembled in a single modular building measuring 8700×8600 mm. Four 630 kVA transformers, two 6 kV switchgear units with 8 KSO (cable switchgear cabinet) cells each, and two 0.4 kV switchgear units on ShchO-90 panels with ATS (automatic transfer switch). The solution is based on an actual power-supply reconstruction project for a medical facility (2023, detailed design stage). Questionnaire sheets and layout drawings are freely available below; the full DWG set of drawings is provided free of charge on request via the form.
When a four-transformer substation is needed
Medical facilities and other sites requiring first-category reliability of power supply cannot be left without power even during switching operations — they need independent inputs and automatic transfer of reserve power. In the KRPZ-4x630, this is built into the design: each of the two KTPs has two 6 kV inputs from the distribution point, sectionalizing devices in the 6 kV switchgear (bus coupler and reserve coupler with ATS-SN), and a ShchO-90-1325 sectionalizing panel with ATS in the 0.4 kV switchgear. The loss of any transformer or input does not interrupt the load supply.
The substation is delivered as a factory-ready modular building: a frame of 50 mm sandwich panels, transformer compartments with forced ventilation, and interior and exterior lighting. Only the foundation and cable-line connections remain to be done on site.
The layout is what distinguishes this solution from two separate KTPs: both dual-transformer KTPs are assembled in a single factory-ready modular building — two 4350 mm sections in a shared frame, one foundation and one site instead of two. Sectionalizing with automatic reserve is nevertheless preserved in each KTP at both voltage levels: sectionalizing devices with ATS-SN in the 6 kV switchgear and a ShchO-90-1325 sectionalizing panel with ATS in the 0.4 kV switchgear. For comparison: the base single-transformer configuration is covered in the KTP 10/0.4 kV with RUNN (low-voltage switchgear) solution, and the 0.4 kV panel of a dual-transformer substation is covered in the ShchO-90 for ZTP (package transformer substation) solution.

Frequently asked questions
Can this solution be used in a hospital project or another first-category facility?
Yes — as a baseline typical solution for facilities that require two independent inputs and automatic reserve. Site-specific adaptation, short-circuit current calculations, protection settings, and compliance with the current PUE (electrical installation rules)/DSTU (Ukrainian national standards) are the responsibility of the design engineer. The solution corresponds to an actual 2023 project, detailed design stage.
What equipment is included?
KSO cells with vacuum circuit breakers and RS83-AV2 protection terminals, ZNOLP voltage transformers and TSKL current transformer units on the 6 kV side; ShchO-90 panels manufactured by LK Energy with VA-79E 2500 A and VA-74E 630 A breakers, sectionalizing ATS, and GAMA 300 metering on the 0.4 kV side.
How do I get the DWG files?
Fill in the form on this page — the 31-file package will be sent to your email within one business day.
Does LK Energy manufacture this equipment?
Yes. KSO cells, ShchO-90 panels, and modular substations are manufactured at our own production facility in Odesa — from metal structures through to factory testing.
Can you help adapt the solution to my facility?
Yes, we advise design engineers on the number of transformers, switchgear configuration, and filling in questionnaire sheets — +38 067 104 94 91. See also: typical solution KTP 10/0.4 kV with RUNN, ShchO-90 panel for a dual-transformer ZTP, and the full library of typical solutions.
The drawings are provided as a reference typical solution. Site-specific adaptation, calculation of relay protection and automation settings, and compliance with applicable regulations (PUE, DSTU, DBN — state building codes) are the responsibility of the design engineer. LK Energy is not liable for use of the solution without adaptation to the conditions of a specific facility.
