Battery energy storage systems for business and industry
Industrial energy storage — from a battery cabinet in the switchroom to a 5 MWh container standing next to a solar plant. LK Energy is an official dealer of Wincle Energy Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), the W ENERGY brand. We supply the systems, integrate them into your existing switchgear, install them and service them.
Why a business needs storage
Storage solves four distinct problems, and a site will usually be running several of them at once rather than just one.
- Peak tariffs. The battery charges while a kilowatt-hour is cheap and discharges during the hours when it is most expensive. Production is not interrupted and shifts are not rescheduled — the consumption profile stays whatever suits the process.
- Backup during outages. Storage picks up the load with no pause to start, unlike a generator. For equipment that cannot survive even a brief dip — server rooms, CNC lines, cold stores — that is the difference between a flicker and a stoppage.
- Extra capacity without a new grid connection. When the contracted capacity does not cover the peak load, the battery covers the peak instead. That avoids entering the process of increasing the connected capacity, with its lead times and its network-side costs.
- Paired with a solar plant. During the day the plant produces more than the site consumes. Without storage that surplus either goes to the grid at the grid's price or is curtailed by the inverter — that is, simply not generated at all. With storage the surplus is not curtailed but stored, and spent in the evening when the sun has gone and consumption has not.
If the question is specifically "how do we stay lit through a blackout", see our backup power section, where that problem is worked through together with diesel generators, UPS and transfer schemes.
Official Wincle Energy dealership
LK Energy is an official dealer of Wincle Energy Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) for the distribution and sale of battery energy storage systems. The certificate runs from January 2026 to January 2027.
What that means in practice: the equipment arrives through the manufacturer's own channel, with factory warranty and technical support, rather than from the secondary market. The system configuration is agreed with the manufacturer for the specific site.
The dealership is not where it ends. The 20.064 MWh W ENERGY storage system forming part of a 4.95 MW industrial solar plant was installed by us and is serviced by us — see the project case.
According to the manufacturer, W ENERGY systems are running on sites in a number of countries — among them the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria and Zimbabwe — from battery cabinets at commercial premises through to containerised systems of tens of megawatt-hours. Those sites were not built by LK Energy; ours is the one above.

The W ENERGY range
Four categories for different jobs. All figures are as stated by the manufacturer; the specific configuration is set for your site. Prices on request.
Containerised systems — for solar plants, industry and the energy market
The range runs from 1.67 to 6.25 MWh: Turtle 5 MWh and 3.85 MWh in a 20-foot container with liquid cooling, Turtle CL2.5 — a container with integrated AC/DC equipment, offered in three capacity configurations, plus CL2.17 and the largest model of the series, CL6.25. These stand on a pad next to a solar plant or within a plant's grounds.

→ Containerised energy storage systems
Commercial and industrial cabinets
Five models from 215 to 385 kWh in an all-in-one design: batteries, converter and control system in a single enclosure. IP55 rated for outdoor installation — no separate building required.

→ Industrial energy storage cabinets
Hybrid cabinets — storage, solar, diesel and EV charging
Three models from 96 to 192 kWh combining storage with a solar controller, a diesel generator input and EV charging points. A solution for filling stations, car parks and charging-network operators.

→ Hybrid energy storage systems
Mobile stations
Turtle M at 964, 1446 and 1929 kWh — storage that is driven to the site. Temporary supply, locations with no grid connection, events, emergency backup.

How a system is sized
Storage capacity is not estimated by eye; it follows from four inputs, and those are what we ask you to send:
- The load profile — how much the site consumes and at which hours. Hourly data from the bills or the meter is ideal.
- The objective. Peak shaving, backup, working with a solar plant, or all three — this sets the ratio between power and energy.
- How many hours of autonomy are needed, and for what — the whole site or one critical section.
- What is already installed — contracted capacity, the switchgear arrangement, whether there is a solar plant or a generator.
From those we come back with a configuration and a calculation. Exact ratings and price follow the calculation; we do not quote them in advance, because on different load profiles the same objective is met by different systems.
Why work with us
- Our own switchgear plant in Odesa. Storage does not work in isolation — it has to be brought into the switchgear: switching, protection, metering and reconciliation with the existing scheme. We design and build switchgear ourselves, so integrating a storage system into the switchgear is our own work rather than a subcontract.
- Installation and commissioning by our own crews — from a battery cabinet in a switchroom to a container craned onto a pad.
- Service. Scheduled maintenance, BMS checks and battery diagnostics — see BESS servicing.
- Experience on real sites. The largest is an industrial 4.95 MW solar plant with 20 MWh of W ENERGY storage, where LK Energy was the EPC contractor: design, equipment, construction and commissioning. Separately, installing a containerised system on site and domestic storage systems.
An important distinction: switchgear is our own manufacturing. Batteries, converters and solar modules are supplied: we select them, supply them as an official dealer, install and service them — but we do not manufacture them.
