General information
Transformer substation in a sandwich-panel modular enclosure (KTPMM)
A packaged transformer substation in a modular building made of sandwich panels is a walk-through-type substation, assembled in a block-container enclosure with a metal frame and sandwich-panel cladding. Unlike a compact kiosk, such an enclosure is a full-fledged substation building providing an internal walkway and equipment servicing from the inside (walk-in). The KTP is manufactured for a voltage of 6(10)/0.4 kV, with a typical capacity from 250 to 2500 kVA, and can also be manufactured to order.
Sandwich panel construction
The cladding panels consist of two metal facings (galvanised and/or painted steel) and a middle insulating layer of mineral wool or PIR. This three-layer construction ensures rigidity, thermal insulation and durability of the enclosure at a low module weight.
Equipment composition
- power transformer (one or more);
- 6(10) kV switchgear — KSO or KRU;
- 0.4 kV switchgear — ShchO/RUNN;
- where required — an automated commercial electricity metering system (ASKOE), operational and relay compartments, a service walkway.
Advantages
- effective thermal insulation, operation approximately from -45 to +45 °C;
- fire resistance — mineral wool is a non-combustible insulation material;
- fast on-site assembly from ready-made modules;
- transportability of the blocks and durability of the enclosure;
- convenient servicing from the inside and an attractive external appearance.
Application and manufacturing
Substations of this type are used at solar and wind power plants, industrial enterprises and facilities requiring a walk-through-type substation building and higher capacity than a kiosk-type KTP. Manufacturer — LK Energy Group (Odesa, own production since 2015; company since 2005): each substation is manufactured to the customer's technical requirements and supplied with a warranty.
Description & purpose
KTPMM is a walk-in package transformer substation in a modular sandwich-panel enclosure: a steel frame with three-layer wall panels (steel skins with mineral-wool or PIR insulation). Unlike a kiosk-type KTP, it is a full substation building with internal access for equipment maintenance.
Rated 6(10)/0.4 kV, typical capacity from 250 to 2500 kVA, custom configurations available. Scope: one or several power transformers, 6(10) kV switchgear based on KSO or KRU, 0.4 kV switchgear (ShchO/RUNN panels) and, if required, metering (AMR), operational and relay compartments. The enclosure operates from approx. −45 to +45 °C; mineral wool is non-combustible; modules are transportable and quick to erect on site.
Typical applications are solar and wind power plants, industrial facilities and sites that need a walk-in substation of higher capacity than a kiosk KTP. Manufactured by LK Energy Group (Odesa, in-house production since 2015): built to the customer’s specifications with a factory warranty. Send us a questionnaire for a quotation.
