Ventilation Control Panels (VCP / ShUV) — 0.4 kV, built to project

General information
Purpose of the VCP
A ventilation control panel (VCP, Ukr. ШУВ on the nameplate and in the passport) is a 0.4 kV board that supplies and controls the ventilation equipment of a site: supply and exhaust units, individual fans, dampers. Main circuits run at 380 V, 50 Hz; control circuits at ~220 V.
Every panel is built for a specific project: the composition follows your automation design and the questionnaire.
What can be included — to project
- manual and automatic operating mode;
- protection of fan motors;
- visual and audible signalling of status and faults;
- interlocks and dependencies between mechanisms;
- signals passed to the supervisory system.
This is a list of options rather than a fixed configuration: what is actually fitted is set by the project and recorded in the questionnaire and in the circuit diagram supplied with the passport.
What we have built
We describe delivered work by its composition — by what is actually fitted inside the panel.
- A VCP with a rated current of 40 A (2022): enclosure 395×310×120 mm, 10 kg per the nameplate, IP31, climatic version U3. Main circuits 380 V, control circuits ~220 V. Inside: an incoming three-pole 63 A breaker, two three-pole 40 A breakers on the equipment lines and three single-pole breakers — one of 16 A and two of 25 A.
LK Energy Group has been manufacturing switchgear equipment at its own factory in Odesa since 2015 (company since 2005). Every panel leaves the factory with a product passport and a circuit diagram; the acceptance test report is provided on request.
What is inside
Composition of the panel
The constant part is the incoming device, protective devices on the equipment lines and the ~220 V control circuits. Everything else is set by the project.
- QF1
- incoming circuit breaker — rated to the calculated current of the panel;
- QF2…QFn
- breakers on the ventilation equipment lines — quantity, ratings and pole count to project;
- Control circuits
- ~220 V, with their own protective devices;
- To project
- motor starting and protection devices, mode selectors, lamps and buttons on the door, signalling and interlock devices, terminals for external signals.
Configuration example from delivered work
- Rated current 40 A: incoming three-pole 63 A breaker (10 kA, curve C) with an auxiliary and signalling contact block and a ~230 V shunt trip; equipment lines — three-pole 40 A breakers ×2 (6 kA); single-pole breakers of 16 A ×1 and 25 A ×2.
The automation design is provided by the customer or their designer; we build the panel to it and issue the circuit diagram of the delivered version together with the product passport.
Technical specifications
Main parameters of the VCP
The table shows the parameters of delivered work; for your project they are selected anew.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Rated voltage of main circuits, V / Hz | 380 / 50 |
| Control circuit voltage, V | ~220 (in delivered work); a different control circuit voltage — to project |
| Rated current of main circuits, A | to project; in delivered work — 40 (incoming device 63) |
| Breaking capacity, kA | incoming device — 10; outgoing lines — to project (6 in delivered work) |
| Ingress protection | by installation site; in delivered work — IP31 |
| Dimensions H×W×D, mm | by the set of devices; in delivered work — 395×310×120 |
| Weight, kg | by the set of devices; in delivered work — 10 per the nameplate |
| Climatic version | U3 (from −40 to +40 °C); the lower limit for a specific set of devices is agreed separately |
| Installation altitude above sea level | up to 1000 m |
| Relative humidity | up to 80 % at +20 °C |
| Ambient environment | non-explosive and non-flammable, free of conductive dust and aggressive vapours |
Final values are agreed at the questionnaire stage.
Versions and configuration
Scope of supply
- the VCP panel in accordance with the contract and the questionnaire — 1 pc.;
- product passport — 1 pc.;
- circuit diagram — 1 pc.
The acceptance test report is provided on request.
What is selected for the project
- rating of the incoming device by the calculated current of the panel;
- quantity and ratings of the ventilation equipment lines;
- motor starting and protection devices;
- controls on the door: mode selectors, buttons, lamps;
- signalling, interlocks and signals to the supervisory system;
- ingress protection, dimensions and enclosure colour — to order.
Not intended for operation
- in environments with conductive dust, caustic vapours or gases that destroy metal and insulation;
- in places subject to heavy shaking, vibration or impact;
- on mobile installations.
Warranty
Warranty on the product — 2 years (extended to 5 years by agreement); the enclosure metalwork — 10 years*. The design service life to write-off is 25 years, provided that components with a shorter service life are replaced.
*Approximate terms and conditions. The exact warranty period is set in the supply contract.
Description and purpose
A ventilation control panel (VCP) is a 0.4 kV board that supplies and controls ventilation equipment: supply and exhaust units, fans, dampers. Main circuits run at 380 V, 50 Hz and control circuits at ~220 V. The panel is built to project, and what exactly it carries — manual or automatic mode, motor protection, signalling, interlocks, signals to the supervisory system — is set by your project and recorded in the questionnaire. In delivered work from 2022 this was an enclosure of 395×310×120 mm, 10 kg per the nameplate, IP31, climatic version U3, rated current 40 A: an incoming three-pole 63 A breaker, two three-pole 40 A breakers on the equipment lines and three single-pole breakers of 16 A and 25 A ×2. LK Energy Group is a switchgear manufacturer from Odesa: the company has operated since 2005 and its own factory since 2015. Price on request.
