Seven cabinets for two pump stations at a fuel retail network site: incoming cabinets with automatic transfer switch (ATS) and pump control cabinets — for a fire pump station with soft starters up to 110 kW, and for a sewage pump station. Full cycle at our own factory in Odesa: enclosures, busbars, assembly, testing. A 2024 order; other switchgear orders had been delivered for the same network's sites before.
The task
Pump stations of a fuel site require uninterrupted supply and controlled motor starting:
- two incomers with automatic transfer (ATS) — pumps must not stop on a supply failure;
- soft starting of powerful fire pumps — direct-on-line starting current sags the site network;
- automatic and manual control of pumps, fans and lighting with liquid level monitoring;
- dimensions and layout to suit the stations' tight rooms.
The solution
Fire pump station, 4 cabinets: a 400 A incoming ATS cabinet (motorized changeover switch, ATS controller) and three pump control cabinets with 200 A / up to 110 kW soft starters with door-mounted keypads, motor protection breakers and control circuits.
Sewage pump station, 3 cabinets: a 160 A incoming ATS cabinet and two pump control cabinets with a liquid level relay — pumps start from level sensors.
Common to all cabinets: "Local/Auto" selectors and indicator lamps for every pump, fan and lighting group right on the doors — the operator sees the station status without opening; alarm circuit with an external beacon; phase marking, wiring ducts, earthed enclosures and doors. Each cabinet has its own factory passport and nameplate.
A separate earlier order (2023): an outdoor IP54 motor control cabinet for process equipment for the same network's sites.
