General information

KSO-E (КСО-Е) Single-Front Assembled Switchgear Cells

KSO-E cells are designed for the reception and distribution of three-phase alternating current electrical energy at 50 Hz in networks with an isolated neutral or a neutral grounded through an arc-suppression reactor. LK Energy Group manufactures KSO-E cells for 6 and 10 kV as a standard product; versions for 20 and 35 kV are available to order according to technical specifications (short-circuit currents and ratings for these classes are determined on a project-specific / TOR basis). Switching — vacuum; no SF6 gas-insulated version is available. Enclosure — a riveted assembled structure made of galvanised cold-formed profiles, with optional RAL powder coating.

The cells are equipped with main devices and protection elements according to the ordering scheme; secondary wiring diagrams are developed for each individual project. Manufactured in accordance with TU U 27.1-40132794-002:2016.

Description and purpose

KSO-E are prefabricated, single-front-access switchgear cubicles for 6 and 10 kV indoor switchgear installations (indoor switchgear/indoor transformer substations). Switching is performed by fixed-mounted vacuum circuit breakers and disconnectors; no SF6 (gas-insulated) design is offered. They are designed for the distribution boards of industrial facilities, transformer substations and central distribution substations — for receiving, metering and distributing electricity with frequent switching operations. Suitable for designers, contractors and industrial customers. LK Energy's advantage is its own production of switchgear equipment in Odesa since 2005: cubicle ratings and single-line diagrams are manufactured to the customer's project or technical specification, complete with installation and commissioning.

FAQ

What voltage levels does LK Energy Group manufacture KSO-E cubicles for?
As standard production — for 6 and 10 kV with vacuum circuit breakers. A 20 or 35 kV version is available to order per technical specifications. Ratings (main circuit current, short-circuit currents, cubicle scheme) are selected according to the customer's project or technical specification.
What switching devices are used in KSO-E?
Fixed-mounted vacuum circuit breakers and disconnectors; the specific circuit breaker type is selected for the project. There is no SF6 (gas-insulated) design — only vacuum switching.
Can a cubicle be ordered for a specific single-line diagram?
Yes. KSO-E is made-to-order equipment: dimensions, rated current and the cubicle scheme are manufactured according to your project or technical specification. Before ordering, agree the specifications with our engineer.
What is the difference between KSO and KRU?
KSO has single-front access and fixed-mounted devices — more compact and less expensive, for indoor installation in indoor switchgear/indoor transformer substations. KRU (metal-clad switchgear with withdrawable trucks) has withdrawable trucks and double-front access, for facilities requiring redundancy. See the comparison table on the page for details.
How long does manufacturing take, and what is the warranty?
The estimated manufacturing lead time is about 1 month, depending on the scheme and current workload. The warranty period is 24 months. Installation and commissioning are carried out by our specialists.
